Aled Jones was presented on 8 January 2003 with a gold disc to mark 100,000 sales of his new album Aled.

"The success of the album, which was released on 14 October, made Aled the biggest-selling Welsh solo artist in 2002," reports
Aled Jones has recorded a new compact disc, Higher, which was released on 29 September 2003.

"There will be 14 tracks on the new album but it doesn't have a title yet. The last one was called Aled so maybe the next one should be Jones," said the singer, as quoted in an
