Ascots

I like ascots but today there are only a limited number of contexts in which I would consider wearing one, maybe to a concert of classical music or to an opera, especially in winter when an extra item around the neck, however slight, might help to keep one warm. On a very cold winter day I might wear a woolen tartan ascot if I were going out to a theatre. Of course in the past couple of years I never go anywhere where an ascot might be appropriate.
