"Incredibly," reports Steve Morse in the
Boston Globe of May 15, "[Aaron] Lewis conceived and recorded all the lyrics for the album in the studio--and finished them in four days.

"'I just sing what comes to my tongue,' he says.  'I went into the studio with nothing.  I had hummed a couple of melody lines, but that was it.  I just let it fly.  I didn't have any book of lyrics.  When I got to the studio,  I would go to the vocal room and put on a microphone and just [start] singing stuff.'"
