Ivy Style has an interesting article on the yellow oxford-cloth button-down shirt. Red Clay Soul offers more thoughts on the yellow shirt. I seldom wear yellow shirts myself. The color is somewhat unflattering to me. When my grandfather died in 1967, my grandmother gave me a dozen shirts that my grandfather had received as gifts but had never worn. I wore them often enough to wear them all out within ten years, except for one that I still have today. It is a yellow broadcloth shirt with narrow blue stripes about an inch apart and French cuffs. — Wasp 101 asks whether Brooks Brothers has gone too far by offering an extra slim fit shirt.
